$79k-$88k Base + Bonus ($85k-$98k Typical) Shop Foreman / Lead Carpenter - Year-Round Work - No Travel

We’re looking for a working Shop Foreman / Lead Carpenter to run our fabrication shop: on the tools, leading the crew, and owning quality, pace, and safety.
What You’ll Do
Lead a small team building wood portable barns, loafing sheds, and livestock shelters in our shop
Set the daily plan, assign tasks, and keep jobs moving on schedule
Train newer carpenters and helpers on our methods and standards
Own quality control — ensure every unit leaves straight, square, attractive, and built to last
Reduce rework and warranty issues by getting it right the first time
Coordinate with delivery and office staff so units are ready when promised
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and yard
Track basic metrics: units completed, issues, and material/labor waste
What We’re Looking For Carpentry
5+ years professional carpentry or construction experience
Strong framing and exterior finish skills
Solid understanding of square, plumb, level, and load paths
Shop or prefab fabrication experience is a plus
Leadership
1–3+ years leading a crew, working foreman, or lead hand experience
Comfortable holding people to a standard and giving direct feedback
Able to plan the day’s work and keep everyone moving
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
LEAN manufacturing interest or experience
Metal fabrication or welding experience (our frames are steel)
Experience building sheds, barns, or wood structures in a shop setting
Forklift or skid steer operation
Comfortable reading simple drawings and cut lists

Leads from the front and works beside the crew
Dependable, organized, and safety-minded
Wants to own the shop and be judged by results
Pay & Benefits Compensation
Base: $79,000 – $88,500/year
Production bonus tied to units completed and quality
Typical total compensation hitting targets: $85,000 – $98,000/year
