The City of Yakima needs an Application Support Specialist to maintain and support in-house and vendor supported computer application programs; troubleshoot and analyze operational problems; develop and/or recommend solutions; implement security procedures for application access; develop lesson plans: train users; and perform or manage special projects.
High school diploma plus five (5) years progressively responsible experience in developing, managing and/or maintaining business computerized application systems; OR two (2) year certification/AA degree in computer science, data processing or a highly related discipline from an accredited college, university or vocational school plus three (3) years of experience listed above. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years' applicable experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License.
