Department Administrator– Nucor Rebar Fabrication (Burbank, WA)
Nucor Rebar Fabrication, a division of Nucor, is seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Department Administrator to support our Burbank, WA location. This role plays a critical part in daily operations, including office administration, payroll coordination, union workforce support, and customer service. Key Responsibilities:
*Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor’s vision and values
*Provide front-line office support, including answering phones and general administrative duties
*Report and track weekly payroll hours with accuracy and timeliness
*Communicate and distribute Human Resources information to teammates
*Assist with recordkeeping for HR, safety, and workers’ compensation documentation
*Support safety administration, including first reports of injury, accident investigations, and related documentation
*Assist with union workforce administration, including coordination of union placements, tracking manpower needs, and maintaining compliance with applicable labor agreements
*Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to prepare bids and project quotations
*Assist with sales follow-up, reporting, and customer communication
*Coordinate shop production scheduling with the Shop Supervisor and detailers to optimize efficiency and cost control
*Arrange trucking with approved freight carriers and schedule deliveries
*Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teammates
*Prepare, process, and maintain necessary operational and financial paperwork
*Assist with basic accounts payable and receivable tasks
*Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
*Previous administrative experience preferred; experience in construction, manufacturing, or union environments is a plus
