Available for sale are nineteen (19) railroad ties with at least 70% of the wood intact. Some are in very good condition. These are suitable for shoring sloped terrain but they are not very pretty. New @ Lowe's: $28/ea. My price: $150 lot of 19 - or - $10 each.

Also available free to a good home are rail tie carcasses with about 25% of the log remaining. Again not very pretty but can be partially buried for stabilizing areas prone to erosion.
