Solid wood table and 4 chairs, all bolted together, with a removable center piece. The legs on both the table and the chairs can be removed since they are firmly bolted together with large bolts. It is very heavy duty and durable. Not sure what type of wood it is. There are scratches on the surface of the table and chairs, none deep. I have included pictures of the worst ones. This set will last longer than you or I. The center piece is 18" wide, the table is 4'6"x3' without the center piece.
