For years, as a pre-teen and up until my early twenties, I was dealing with violence and abuse on different wavelengths. I was taught by different people how deal with different types of situations, and one that was extremely difficult to deal with was understanding the meaning behind love. Have you struggled with asking yourself what your life's purpose is? On those wavelengths in life, especially recently, and with the justice system and election of our current president, we're becoming aware of the lines that are broken in our families and our communities. How is that effecting your life, especially emotionally? For someone that was sexually abused, and having been through my own experience of domestic violence in an intimate setting, I've learned life is more than just difficulty and negativity. For years, I was not yet aware of the congruence of love and mentality. Believe me when I say, love was affected in every cornerstone of my life. Still, I have made others suffer in small ways, and I still wish I could understand more about love and what it means to other people, especially when it has been shaped by the reality of the experiences in each of their lives as well. The purpose of this What is Love? Project is to understand what has shaped your view of love; what has impacted your belief of love, and how has our current world impacted your definition of love? What is Love?
(For the purpose of this project, I ask that you send a 1-2-minute video, or written responses, to the email provided, regarding these questions noted above. This is built from many other projects just alike, and it compares highly to the It Gets Better and #MeToo movement, but how could we change the world by understanding what LOVE has done to change your world. Please feel free to share this post to other forms of media, and let's change the world, one Heart at a Time.)
